Job Summary
Paid Media Lead for Outside’s Trailforks, Gaia GPS, and MapMy portfolios will own paid user acquisition end-to-end, setting strategy and executing across major paid channels. The role is a senior, hands-on leadership position that requires AI-enabled workflow fluency, cross-functional collaboration (ASO Lead, Finance, Brand, Retention, Product Growth), and the ability to present results to executive leadership. You will manage measurement and attribution foundations, drive channel-level performance, and help scale subscription and freemium surface growth across app and web surfaces. Reports to the Growth Director, Consumer Apps. Location: Remote (US).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on paid media experience, with substantial time spent on mobile app user acquisition for a subscription or freemium-subscription business
- Fluent in iOS SKAN and ATT-era measurement: conversion value mapping, postback modeling, and privacy-safe measurement strategy
- Fluent in AppsFlyer and 360ROI
- Fluent in Amplitude (or comparable product analytics) and Tableau (or comparable BI tooling)
- Expert-level spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets; modeling, forecasting, pivot/scenario analysis); SQL a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience across major paid channels (ASA, UAC, Meta, TikTok, PMax, YouTube, Reddit)
- Experience operating at every stage of the marketing funnel and contributing to GTM strategy for consumer apps
- Strong knowledge of mapping, fitness, or outdoor app categories or comparable subscription products
- Proven track record presenting performance results to executive leadership
- Comfortable working remotely with strong written communication
