Job Summary
Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Assistant needed to support delivery of therapy interventions within an independent special school in Yateley, Hampshire, and a nearby junior setting. You will assist in delivering individual and group therapy under qualified therapists, develop resources to support communication development, build therapeutic relationships with children, monitor progress, liaise with parents and school staff, maintain confidential records, and contribute to training materials for new staff. The role offers full-time or part-time options within Band 4, with a multidisciplinary team and opportunities to develop specialist therapy skills across diverse approaches.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised training in Special Educational Needs (desirable)
- Experience working with children with complex needs (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal, flexible, and team-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently while following therapist guidance
- Physically agile and able to work therapeutically at floor/table level
- Car driver or reliable means to reach the school site
