Job Summary
Support the Senior Medical Staff in ensuring Paediatric services are delivered efficiently and effectively across the 94-bed hospital and adjacent Mater facility. Provide high-quality clinical care in a 9-bed General Paediatric Ward, 4-cot Nursery, and outpatient clinics managing referrals for children and neonates. Deliver services at multiple sites within the Health Service, including emergency, high dependency, and surgical outpatient clinics, while supporting consultants in ward and clinic settings. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and demonstrate clinical experience at a Registrar or Principal House Officer level.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision
- Evidence of successful completion of IELTS or equivalent English Language test results within the last year
- Evidence of successful completion AMC MCQ (part 1) examination
- Evidence of recency of clinical practice, supported by current references
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated clinical experience and skills in the provision of clinical services in an Emergency Department at Registrar or Principal House Officer level
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with staff
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary approach to service
