Job Summary
Complete specialist paediatric OT assessments within a Social Care and Housing setting, evaluating children's functional needs and identifying appropriate equipment and adaptations. Recommend solutions that promote independence, safety, and participation by advising on housing adaptations and working collaboratively with families, social care colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams. Provide clear clinical recommendations and reports to support decision-making around equipment provision and intervention planning while managing a varied caseload. This role offers a 6-month contract with potential extension, a competitive rate of £42 per hour, and flexible working arrangements within a supportive environment focused on making a direct impact on children and families.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and young people
- Background in paediatric OT, community services, social care or housing adaptations
- Experience completing functional assessments and recommending equipment/adaptations
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with wider teams
- Not a resident within the Red or Amber list of the Code of practice for the international recruitment of health and social care personnel in England
