Job Summary
Undertake Education, Health and Care (EHCP) needs assessments for children aged 0–19 years alongside mainstream school assessments for those aged 5–19 years. Carry out formal and informal Speech and Language Therapy assessments to evaluate communication needs, then produce clear, comprehensive, and evidence-based reports to support EHC plans. Work collaboratively with education professionals, families, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality assessments while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with HCPC and local service standards.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Previous experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent
- Experience administering both formal and informal Speech and Language Therapy assessments
- Experience undertaking EHCP needs assessments
- Experience in report writing
- Experience in mainstream school assessments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
