Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy support for neonatal patients, managing a clinical caseload independently. Deliver evidence-based intervention for babies and families regarding communication, feeding, and swallowing needs while providing advice to multidisciplinary teams. Complete accurate clinical documentation and participate in service development to maintain high care standards across Queen Mary's Hospital and community settings. This Band 6/7 locum role involves part-time work (3 days per week) at £24.00–£32.00 per hour for a 3-month contract.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- Previous experience working within neonatal Speech and Language Therapy services
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to delivering high-quality care
