Job Summary
Paddlesports Operations Supervisor leads daily operations of all paddling activities alongside Supervisors/Assistant Managers, ensuring safety, guest experience, and efficient use of resources. Responsibilities include training and coaching staff, maintaining equipment and facilities, implementing scheduling strategies, and collaborating with management to drive departmental growth. Requires on-site leadership, capacity to work evenings/weekends/holidays, and a degree in operations/rec recreation or related field, with class IV whitewater guiding experience and First Aid/CPR certification. Proficiency in Microsoft systems and demonstrated ability to train and develop curricula in non-formal settings are essential. Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Operations Management, Recreation Management, or related field
- Prior experience guiding and training guides in up to class IV whitewater
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems
- Prior experience teaching, coaching, and developing curriculum in a non-formal setting
- Prior management experience required, ideally managing a whitewater outfitter
- Strong leadership and public speaking skills
- Complete an approved raft guide training
