Pad Printer Operator- 2nd shift - 3:30pm- 12am - M-F

Job Summary

Operate advanced pad printing equipment by selecting and testing computer programs, making offsets, and adjusting machine feed, speed, and axis points to ensure part specifications. Monitor high-tech equipment throughout runs, check parts for quality, and troubleshoot breakdowns by diagnosing issues, disassembling components, and replacing defective parts. Perform advanced setups, install tools and fixtures, and execute general maintenance including cleaning, checking oil levels, and sharpening tools. Complete inspections, record findings on logs, and report accurate production counts while maintaining a clean work area per 6S standards. Rotate between machines and participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve processes.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three (3) years experience or equivalent
  • Must possess knowledge of basic math skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English
  • Ability to learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents
  • Ability to communicate and work as a team member
  • Ability to securely load and align raw materials, orient workpieces, and adjust programs (X, Y, Z and R axes) to ensure print conforms to artwork print
  • Ability to disassemble, clean, and reassemble ink cups, print pads, and fixtures to prevent machine downtime
  • Familiarity with touch-screen machine interfaces
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook/Teams
  • Familiarity with Inventory management (components & production supplies)
  • Familiarity with Production schedule adherence & record-keeping
  • Understanding of ink chemistry, including the proper measurement and addition of hardeners and thinners to optimize the printing process
  • Excellent near vision to inspect finished items, ensuring accurate registration (alignment), crisp image transfer, and zero smudging or distortion
  • Ability to identify and resolve print defects such as ink splash, print voids, bubbles, misregistration (color alignment), or fading by tweaking ink viscosity, machine settings, pad location and/or pad durometer
  • Fine motor skills required to safely handle pads, engraving plates, and print substrates
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift moderately heavy printing materials and products (up to 50lbs)
  • Capability to interpret detailed job work orders, blueprints, production schedules, emails and technical specifications
  • Strong critical thinking to react to mechanical hiccups quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Metalworking or metal removal experience
  • CNC certification
  • metalworking/tooling certification
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, or indicators
  • Ability to perform visual inspection
  • Ability to read part drawings and blue prints for basic quality checks
