Job Summary
PACU RN responsible for post-anesthesia care of surgical patients. Assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain and sedation, respond to complications, document care accurately, and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team while following safety and infection-control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
- PACU or post-anesthesia care experience preferred
- Ability to assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
- Pain and sedation management
- Recognition and management of post-anesthesia complications
- Accurate documentation of care
- Adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Collaborative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists
