Job Summary
Deliver post-anesthesia care as a PACU RN: assess and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, manage pain and sedation, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Administer medications, maintain accurate documentation, collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons, and educate patients and families on post-operative care. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
- Post-anesthesia care experience preferred or strong PACU crash-cart familiarity
- BLS and ACLS certifications typically required for PACU roles
- Ability to monitor anesthesia recovery, manage pain/sedation, and respond to changes in patient status
- Strong documentation skills and collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons
- Patient and family education skills
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality outcomes
