Job Summary
Per Diem PACU RN providing high-quality pre-operative and post-anesthesia care for orthopedic and spine surgery patients in a specialized surgical setting. Responsibilities include pre-operative assessments, initiating IVs, supporting anesthesia preparation, and monitoring patients through Phase 1 and 2 recovery with emphasis on safe emergence, pain control, and readiness for discharge or transfer. Requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing and Connecticut RN license; prior inpatient PACU experience preferred. Shifts are rotating and part-time; compensation ranges from $36.15 to $59.95 hourly (annualized to $75,192–$124,696). Preferred certifications include BLS/CPR, ACLS, and TNCC; ASPAN standards familiarity is desired. The role emphasizes independent function in Preop and PACU with ICU-level care experience and strong assessment skills. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- one or more years of inpatient PACU experience
- BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC) preferred
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)
