Job Summary
PACU Registered Nurse responsible for immediate post-operative patient care: manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications. Provide initial wound care at the surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. Collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams. Role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours. Shifts include 9:00 AM–9:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; call shifts within a 30-minute radius of the facility.
Required Qualifications
- One year of RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in BSN program with BSN within 5 years of hire
- Current RN license with North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC may apply)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIH Certification
