Job Summary
PACU Registered Nurse at Mission Hospital (Asheville, NC) responsible for immediate post-operative patient care, including airway support, neuro and cardiac monitoring, prompt response to complications, and initial wound care. Collaborates with surgical and anesthesia teams; on-call availability during select non-business hours. Requires at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN or enrollment in BSN with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years; NC RN licensure (eNLC may apply); and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ NIH certifications. Preferred: MSN and specialty certification; grandfathering may apply between departments. Shift times include 9:00-9:30 PM and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM with call duties within 30 minutes of facility. Required Qualifications
- One year of RN experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in BSN with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
- eNLC license may apply (confirm with NCBON)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH certifications required
