PACU Nurse

Utilize therapeutic communication to maintain a safe environment and identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs. Perform technical skills, follow procedures, and apply critical thinking while utilizing the nursing process for individual care and documentation. Coordinate participation to foster hospital mission goals and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information. When acting as charge nurse, make staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and skill level while serving as a clinical resource. Requires current KY RN licensure, BLS, and one year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience.
