PACU Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate patient-centered nursing care in the PACU during shifts, directing and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with management. Achieve efficient throughput through admissions/discharges, support staff development and training, assist with staff scheduling and labor management, participate in quality improvement, and manage inventory and supplies. Requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or enrollment and plan to obtain BSN within 5 years), current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC may apply), and BLS/ACLS/PALS/ NIH certifications. Preferred PACU or Charge Nurse experience and a BSN within 5 years; Masters preferred. Role emphasizes teamwork, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and fostering an environment focused on safety and exceptional patient care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of RN and or applicable nursing experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
- Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIH
