Job Summary
PACT Support Worker provides rehabilitative and supportive work with participants and assistance in treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team. Roles include education and support to program participants, and assisting in assessment and planning. The position emphasizes establishing supportive, trusting relationships and coordinating support services within adult mental health programming in Winnipeg. Requires in-person work, a valid driver’s license, and completion of required safety checks. Shift coverage includes days, evenings, and weekends; 8-hour daily shifts; Casual FTE.
Required Qualifications
- Two years work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental health illness
- Education: University or College education in human services, other disciplines, or high school diploma and related training
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search)
- Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Children Abuse Registry Check
- Ability to establish supportive, trusting relationships
- Skills in assessment, planning, development and coordination of support services
