Job Summary
PACT Peer Specialist (Per Diem) provides peer counseling and support from a consumer perspective, mentors clients, assists in recovery-focused treatment planning, and collaborates with the clinical team to promote client self-determination. Responsibilities include interpreting client experiences for staff, supporting symptom-management and coping strategies, assisting with WRAP plans, facilitating peer groups, and ensuring client rights and HIPAA compliance. Role involves office-based and community settings with occasional interstate travel; average 15–20 hours per week; potential for increased hours as needed. Requires lived experience as a recipient of mental health services, strong communication skills, and a commitment to recovery-oriented support.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in Human Services field, or in another area, have a high school diploma, or have at least two years of paid or volunteer work experiences with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
