Job Summary
The Co-Occurring Specialist is an integral member of the PACT team, responsible for clinical assessment, service planning, wellness counseling, and case management for individuals with serious persistent mental illness. Key responsibilities include creating a wellness-oriented environment, conducting mental health education and community living skill training, providing crisis intervention services, developing substance abuse assessments, and offering technical assistance regarding co-occurring disorders. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field with relevant experience and professional credentials in New Jersey. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field
- Two years post-Degree experience providing dual disorder services to individuals with co-occurring serious and persistent mental illness and substance abuse
- Professional credentials required by the NJ Alcohol and Drug Licensing and Certification Counseling Committee (CADC/LCADC)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Pre-employment drug screening
