Packsize Operator

Job Summary
Packsize Operator responsible for setting up and operating packaging machines and a CNC-equipped process to produce exact amounts of packing material for cabinet components. Requires familiarity with basic computer skills, strong mechanical ability, and the ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch. Duties include programming/setup/operation of CNC machinery, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing highly repetitive, short-cycle production operations such as cutting and banding laminating products to tolerances. Additional responsibilities include operating a Packsize machine and forklift, alternating between machine operation and palletizing components for shipping, monitoring packaging supplies, and following supervisor/manager directions. Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds. Warehouse experience is preferred but forklift certification is not required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to measure to 1/16 of an inch on a tape measure
- Warehouse experience (forklift certification not required)
- Operate Packsize machine and forklift
- Set up equipment as needed
- Monitor packaging supplies to ensure adequate quantity for shift
- Alternate between operating a Packsize machine and palletizing components for shipping
- Read labels to match cabinet color, size, skins
