Packing Machine Operator

Job Summary
Operate box erectors, labelers, and tape machines while maintaining a clean, orderly work area and adhering to GMP and HACCP standards. Enter IPM data, track case production on rack sheets, and correctly stack pallets using the palletizer. Perform timely changeovers, load box machines, and stack boxes manually during equipment failures. Communicate problems to upstream and downstream operators via radios, check metal and X-ray detectors hourly, and report out-of-control conditions immediately. Report to work ten minutes prior to shift start and participate in team meetings. Lift up to 50 pounds and work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work safely in packing environment
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math
- Must be able to follow written and verbal directions as well as safety regulations
- Must be able to understand and perform basic computer functions
- Must be able to work assigned overtime as needed
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekend and overtime as needed
- Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively
