Job Summary
Stack pallets with boxes from the packing belt, ensuring consistent and safe stacking; check box quality on full pallets and wrap correctly for transportation. Operate powered pallet trucks, hand trucks, and scanners while verifying pallet labels and double-checking others' work. Monitor metal detection systems for malfunctions, completing near-miss forms if box damage is observed. Maintain a clean, tidy Packing Desk area and provide an adequate supply of new pallets to ensure continuous service. Shifts run 10pm to 6am with an hourly rate of £12.71 plus enhanced night allowance. This fixed-term role from August 2026 to October 2026 supports the link between Production and Despatch at Sharpak Aylesham, a manufacturer of sustainable thermoformed plastic packaging for fresh produce and food service.
Required Qualifications
- Evidence of right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide a suitable reference upon receiving an offer of employment
- Ability to drive and having access to your own vehicle
