Packhouse Production Assistant

The Packhouse Production Assistant is responsible for the startup and shutdown of packaging equipment including Denester, Scales, Tray Sealer, Metal Detector, Check Weigher, and Labeler. This role involves basic troubleshooting of unit operations in the packaging line and ensuring accurate completion of Operator GFSI tasks and documentation. The position requires effective communication and the ability to provide directions to production assistants while minimizing downtime during breakdowns and changeovers. Responsibilities include tracking line KPIs, changing materials such as film and labels, stocking raw materials, performing sanitation tasks, and fulfilling the role of a Tier 1 Packer/Sorter as needed.
