Job Summary
Lead the Pack House (PH) operations by supervising Packers, ensuring food safety and GMP compliance, maintaining logs (QC Verification, Opening/Closing/Packhouse/temp logs), and coordinating with harvesters and supervisors to ensure efficient packhouse and harvest workflows. Role requires hands-on leadership, ability to train new assistants, maintain safe work conditions, manage FIFO and cooler inventory, and drive continuous improvement in packing speed and accuracy. Must demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication, and willingness to work weekends in a fast-growing natural/organic food operation.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
- Willingness to work weekends.
- Prior experience in natural and organic food industry is a plus but not required.
- Ability to supervise and train Packers and ensure GMPs are followed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with log maintenance (QA/QC logs, inventory logs, temperature logs) is a plus.
