Job Summary
Conduct packaging operations on extrusion lines, ensuring products are packed neatly and accurately per instructions. Maintain line cleanliness and organization following 5s guidelines, perform necessary fabrication, and assist in breaking other packers when possible. Execute process checks including box counts and audits, and operate common packaging equipment while reading prints and work orders. Perform basic quality checks using gages and measuring tools, and assist in breaking other packers. Requires ability to lift 50lbs, perform physical tasks, and calculate with basic arithmetic. Rotating schedule includes every other weekend; pay ranges from $17.50 to $19.50/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Demonstrated ability to calculate with basic arithmetic and metrology, using measuring instruments such as rulers, tape measure and other quality tools at the line
- Ability to operate common packaging equipment
- Ability to read prints and quality expectations
- Ability to read and understand work order information
- Ability to perform basic quality checks using gages and required measuring tools
- Must be available for every other weekend on shift
- Must be able to work rotating schedule (3 Days on, 2 Days off, 2 Days on, 3 Days off)
