Job Summary
Packaging Technician at Rodeo Cannabis Co. in Sterling, CT, responsible for producing, labeling, and finishing a variety of cannabis products (vapes, gummies, pre-rolls, and flower) in accordance with company SOPs and state regulations. Duties include packaging, labeling, sealing, maintaining accurate production records, inspecting product quality and label accuracy, ensuring branding and compliance, maintaining clean and sanitized workstations, and supporting additional packaging tasks. Shifts offered: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM; part-time schedule of 32 hours per week; pay rate $18.00 per hour. Emphasis on compliance, quality, and teamwork within Connecticut cannabis operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures in a regulated cannabis environment.
- Must be able to meet Connecticut cannabis licensing requirements.
- Must successfully pass a background check as required by Connecticut cannabis industry compliance.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in cannabis packaging, manufacturing, or other regulated production environment.
- Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance tracking systems such as Biotrack or METRC.
- Experience working with packaging across multiple product types or formats.
- Background in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry.
