Job Summary
Packaging Technician I operates and maintains packaging lines for bottling, canning, and warehousing activities, performing tasks such as stacking pallets, packaging boxes/trays, feeding product, basic equipment troubleshooting, and ensuring correct coding and quality. Responsibilities include loading materials, monitoring machines, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, following safety rules, and using PPE. Must be able to work any shift in a 24-hour period and adhere to food safety practices per SQF requirements. Proficiency with Google Sheets/Microsoft Office is helpful; forklift operation and safety compliance are part of daily duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- Experience with bottle or can filling preferred
- English communication proficient
