Job Summary
Packaging Technician in a high-volume distribution center responsible for operating and maintaining automated packaging machinery, performing setup and changeovers for different products, ensuring accurate labeling and quality checks, monitoring packaging parameters, assisting with maintenance, and collaborating with the production team to optimize packaging operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical or vocational training is a plus
- Previous experience in packaging operations, preferably in a high-capacity, automated distribution center
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting automated packaging machinery (Packsize) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance regulations related to packaging operations
- Proficient in using computers and basic software applications for documentation and reporting
