Job Summary
Continuously check for print and seam quality, removing defective material and splicing roll webs back together using a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch. Handle and palletize rolls to prevent damage while recording and entering data on designated paperwork and the Globetek operation system. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. This finishing operator role requires standing, frequent walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Basic math skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office are preferred, along with experience in lithographic or flexographic printing. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Continuous eye concentration
- Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience or in-depth knowledge of lithographic, flexographic, or digital printing preferred
- Quality conscious and customer focused
- Self-directed individual with outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook and have the ability to learn company specialized software program
- Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
