Job Summary
Packaging Team Member position on the ready-to-eat meat packaging line at Western Smokehouse Partners. Responsibilities include machine setup, feeding, catching, palletizing, labeling, and metal detection to ensure high-quality packaging output in a cold environment. Requires wearing food safety garments, lifting up to 60 lbs, and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Must follow SOPs/GMPs/USDA/FDA regulations, with duties including monitoring packaging machine functions, preparing labels, verifying lot/best-by information, scanning/inventory data entry, and assisting with other duties as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–2 years of manufacturing or food production experience is a plus; English literacy required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to use labeling and scanning equipment accurately
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems like Vista Trac
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
