Job Summary
Tyson Foods seeks a Packaging Systems Intern to assist the Packaging Systems, Packaging Engineering, and Graphics teams in Springdale, AR. The role focuses on data entry, cleanup, validation, and reporting within packaging systems (PLM and legacy systems), supporting workflows, and providing data-related support to Packaging Engineers and Graphics teams. Responsibilities include developing queries and reports using Excel/Power BI, documenting processes, identifying workflow gaps, and contributing to automation and AI-driven improvements. Occasional plant and supplier visits help build domain knowledge; the role emphasizes hands-on data analysis, data quality, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, graphics, and data-focused teams. The program offers real-world experience, exposure to AI and automation tools, and the potential to transition into full-time roles post-graduation. Relocation and housing support are available; travel may be required. Required Qualifications
- Education: Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Packaging, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience: Familiarity with Excel and basic data analysis; exposure to databases, querying (SQL), or scripting tools preferred
- Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; willingness to learn
- Interest in AI tools and automation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Location: Relocation and housing support eligible; must be able to work 20–40 hours per week
- Work Hours: Available for 20–40 hours per week
