Job Summary
Create and modify structural packaging designs using ArtiosCAD to develop CAD layouts, dielines, and production-ready files. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Production teams to troubleshoot design concerns and move projects from concept through manufacturing while supporting continuous improvement in efficiency and material utilization. Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to ensure packaging meets customer expectations and production requirements. This role supports a collaborative, team-focused environment at an established Maine manufacturer where you will design, see it produced, and know your work makes a direct impact.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in Esko ArtiosCAD
- Experience with packaging CAD, structural packaging design, or a related field
- Understanding of folding carton construction, dielines, and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with clients
- A degree in Structural Design, Package Engineering, CAD/Drafting Technology, Industrial Design or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustator, Pandora and Kodak Workshop
- Prepress Mac Operator skills such as preparing, reviewing and fixing client files for print production
- Experience in a packaging, converting, printing, or manufacturing environment
