Job Summary
Packaging Sales Executive for the Houston market: drive growth in a full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, selling custom corrugated packaging solutions, and managing relationships with manufacturers, logistics and distribution clients. Responsibilities include prospecting in Houston and Gulf Coast regions, conducting in-person client visits, preparing RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations, maintaining a robust pipeline with accurate CRM forecasts, and staying aligned with local market trends and the competitive landscape. Requires 3+ years in packaging sales (corrugated preferred), proven Houston market success, independent territory management, strong communication and negotiation skills, CRM/Microsoft Office proficiency, and a bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of packaging sales experience (corrugated highly preferred)
- Proven success selling into the Houston market and developing new business
- Strong understanding of custom packaging solutions vs. commodity sales
- Established network within Houston manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is a major plus
- Ability to manage a territory independently with a hunter-driven mindset
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
