Job Summary
Lead growth of the Austin/San Antonio territory by prospecting and building relationships with manufacturing, logistics, and distribution clients; sell custom corrugated boxes and packaging solutions tailored to customer specifications, operations, and cost objectives; manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing and account management; collaborate with internal production and design teams to deliver cost-effective packaging solutions; conduct in-person client visits to strengthen relationships; prepare RFQs/RFPs, pricing strategies, and product recommendations; maintain a strong pipeline with CRM-based forecasting; stay informed on local market trends and the competitive landscape across key industries.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of packaging sales experience (corrugated highly preferred)
- Proven success selling into the Austin market and developing new business
- Strong understanding of custom packaging solutions vs. commodity sales
- Established network within Austin manufacturing, distribution, or industrial sectors is a major plus
- Ability to manage a territory independently with a hunter-driven mindset
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
