Job Summary
Packaging Sales Account Representative in Dallas, TX responsible for achieving sales and gross profit goals, growing sales through cold calling and developing relationships with prospective accounts, closing opportunities to turn prospects into customers, and maintaining margins. The role requires attending sales and supplier meetings, driving a positive experience for coworkers, customers, and suppliers, and collaborating with supervisors. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications and has 5+ years of sales experience (packaging distributor/corrugated experience preferred). Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently are essential; effective communication with coworkers, suppliers, and customers is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of prior experience in sales (packaging distributor / corrugated experience is preferred but not a must)
- Capacity to work independently
- The ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, suppliers, and customers
- Self-starter to keep busy
- Take direction and work closely with supervisors to develop positive relationships
- Strong negotiation and relationship development skills
- Deep understanding of customer relations and customer service.
