Packaging Quality Inspector - 2nd shift

Job Summary
Conduct quality control inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and final filled items for packaging lines, approving or rejecting components based on defined requirements. Perform equipment and area inspections to ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination, then execute batch quality control activities including sample submissions, test report reviews, and creation of COA and COC documents. Place nonconforming materials on hold, complete production records and regulatory documentation, and conduct Product Conformance Investigations for defective products. Interface with production and purchasing teams on quality issues, prepare pre-ship and specialty samples, and participate in internal and external audits. Assist in training other inspectors and testing new packaging designs. Work the 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday in Gibbstown, NJ, earning $19-23 hourly plus shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to teach aspects of testing and inspection methods to production employees and other Packaging QC inspectors
- Computer literate and proficiency in MS Office (especially Outlook and Excel)
- Strong organizational skills

- Good interpersonal skills - ability to interface and communicate/collaborate at all levels internally and externally

- Must be available for 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in quality control and/or quality assurance desired but not required
- Associates degree or equivalent in any science field desired, but not required
- Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, OSHA, EPA standards
- Previous experience in manufacturing processing
