Job Summary

Maintain proper packaging of dry product in 25kg bags and totes via filling and stacking onto pallets using automated systems. Account for inventory produced, observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity to standards, and monitor the production line for issues such as pileups, jams, or glue adhesion problems. Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material, change and seal unacceptable bags, and ensure the packaging room remains USDA inspection ready. Report immediately to the supervisor regarding any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions, and aid in training new personnel while following all safety and GMP rules. Work the night shift (6:00 pm - 6:30 am) on a 2-2-3 schedule, including weekends and holidays, with a requirement for an Industrial Truck Operator License.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Industrial Truck Operator License
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays that fall into schedule
  • Must possess or be able to acquire an Industrial Truck Operator License
  • Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and be able to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation
  • Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear
