Job Summary
Review work orders to determine packaging requirements and manually weigh and count products. Load items into packaging machines, monitor their function, and unload packaged goods for visual inspection against quality standards. Place products into boxes, apply identification labels, and complete departmental paperwork. Visually inspect all items for defects, transferring any non-conforming units to the appropriate location. Work the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime during the week and on weekends based on business needs and job completions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Functional vision and hearing
- Basic reading, writing and math skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately from verbal and written instructions
- Attendance and punctuality
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ability to meet productivity standards
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to observe all safety procedures and policies
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
