Job Summary
Packaging Operator I on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM) packaging a variety of products according to customer specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing work orders to determine packaging requirements, visually inspecting product for defects, manually weighing and counting product, loading products into packaging machines and monitoring them, unloading and inspecting packaged product for quality, labeling and boxing, and completing departmental paperwork. Emphasis on safety compliance and operating within a fast-paced environment; requires high school diploma or GED and basic reading, writing, and math skills; strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
