Job Summary
Ensure compliance with Gehl Foods safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices while operating secondary packaging equipment to maintain food safety and product quality. Perform clean, inspect, and lube functions, actively participating in start-up, troubleshooting, stop/reset, and shutdown procedures to clear jams and adjust line settings. Execute changeovers by completing line clears and accurately setting up packaging for the next item, then apply appropriate labels to secondary packages and finished goods pallets. Report out-of-standard results, unsafe conditions, and equipment malfunctions to supervisors, while completing handwritten instructions, online documentation, and Quality Critical Control Point checks. Maintain accurate work logs, inventory records, and production environment cleanliness, safely operating forklifts to handle materials. Requires 6 months of manufacturing experience and full-time 2nd shift hours from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months previous manufacturing, packaging, or assembly line production experience
- Demonstrated organizational and observational skills, and detail-oriented
- Basic mathematical calculation skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and listen to written and oral and instructions in the English language
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision
