Job Summary
Packaging Operator at Ashland in Calvert City, KY responsible for safe and environmentally compliant packaging of liquid and powder products, performing packaging and drumming operations to meet customer specifications, waste handling, staging and labeling, sampling for quality, housekeeping, equipment preparation, participation in safety/ SHE and process-improvement initiatives, and adherence to plant policies; requires high school degree, mechanical aptitude, ability to work rotating shifts and overtime, and comfort with PPE and forklift operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or equivalent required
- Ability to work rotating shift, holidays, and overtime
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to wear and properly utilize PPE (hard hat, goggles, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes)
- Experience or certificate/degree in Chemical Operator preferred (not required)
