Packaging Operator

Job Summary
Operate packaging equipment including Parson Eagle scales, palletizers, and metal detectors while maintaining product quality through visual inspections and HACCP compliance. Set up, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machinery, ensuring FIFO program adherence and clean work areas. Assist with product changeovers, sanitation, and quality checkpoints, communicating any safety or quality concerns immediately to supervisors. Complete required paperwork and utilize CJ Foods Business Systems for production reporting. Work in a team environment following GMPs and JSA protocols, with certification required for forklift operation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or GED
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to obtain C.J. Foods Lock Out / Tag Out certification
- Ability to obtain C.J. Foods forklift certification
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in written form, and via radio
- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals

- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally
