Packaging Operator

Operate packaging equipment on assigned line to package products, inspect quality, maintain FIFO, and perform setup and basic troubleshooting on equipment such as Bemis, Parsons, Jem lines, palletizers, forklifts, stretch wrappers, scales, metal detectors, belts, and labelers. Maintain product and packaging quality through visual inspection; participate in full facility equipment clean-up; ensure compliance with GMPs and HACCP; complete QA checks, collect finished product samples, and perform product release testing as needed. Enter data in IQS, monitor QA checkpoints, and communicate quality concerns to supervisors. Assist with product changeovers, cleaning, sanitation, and first article inspections for food safety and quality. Complete required paperwork and production reports; train and coach plant personnel; maintain a clean, safe work area; and follow SOPs. Proficiency with Alphia systems (e.g., JDE, IQS) and the ability to obtain required certifications (Lock Out/Tag Out, forklift) are expected. Strong basic math, teamwork, independent work capability, and effective communication are required; willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to allergens, varying temperatures, noise, and PPE requirements.
