Job Summary
Operate block forming towers, metal detectors, and Beta-Vac packaging machines to ensure product quality standards. Load bags, enter work orders into scale equipment, weigh blocks, and attach identification labels. Box cheese per instructions, perform quality control checks, and palletize finished goods for staging. Monitor cooler temperatures, sanitize all equipment and areas, and conduct minor maintenance on scales and printers. Document production data and close work orders for shipment tracking. Train team members on essential duties and immediately report food safety or quality deviations to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent (GED)
- Forklift Certified
- Ability to lift and/or move 40 lb. blocks of cheese
- Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably food manufacturing
