Packaging Operator - 2nd shift

Job Summary

Conduct daily packaging operations by operating equipment, performing set-ups, and executing cleaning protocols under cGMP guidelines. Transport raw materials weighing at least 50lbs using proper lifting techniques and calculate quantities as needed. Participate in daily meetings to understand production steps, follow batch records and SOPs, and document all work accurately. Check outputs for accuracy, report discrepancies to supervisors, and train new employees on equipment and safety procedures. Maintain a positive team environment while wearing required PPE. Note that the role involves exposure to allergens including bovine, milk, soy, and shellfish.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to work on all assigned equipment with minimal assistance
  • Understanding of instructions and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing steps required in the production of safe and effective quality products
  • Ability to follow instructions as written on all documents related to production/packaging of safe and effective quality products
  • Knowledge of Batch Records, Inventory Sheets and Log Books
  • Knowledge of SOPs related to equipment, products and processes
  • Ability to transport raw materials weighing a minimum of 50lbs
  • Knowledge of appropriate lifting techniques
  • Ability to check and calculate raw material quantities
  • Ability to perform set-up and adjustments to all manufacturing/packaging equipment
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines
  • Knowledge of appropriate SOPs
  • Knowledge of specific instructions
  • Ability to operate equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures within cGMP guidelines
  • Knowledge of appropriate SOPs for cleaning
  • Knowledge of specific instructions for cleaning
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance duties
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures for cleaning rooms and equipment
  • Ability to document work on all documents required by SOP
  • Knowledge of cGMP Guidelines

  • Ability to consistently check work for accuracy
  • Ability to identify and report all discrepancies to immediate supervisor or designee
  • Ability to train and document training of new employees on the operation of equipment
  • Knowledge of good documentations practices

  • Knowledge of GMPs
  • Regular attendance
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hair nets, beard covers, face masks, respirators, uniforms, safety shoes, safety glasses etc

  • Ability to promote positive work environment
  • Knowledge of allergen sources including bovine, milk, soy, shellfish, pork, chicken, tuna and other allergen source
