Job Summary
Packaging Operator-1 on the 2nd shift responsible for maintaining a continuous flow of product through the packaging department for Finished Goods under the direction of the Packaging Supervisor. Duties include hand forming finished good cases, retail bases, lids; hand packing, cupping, lidding, sleeve application and taping of semi-finished goods; manual labeling and palletizing finished goods; operating pallet jacks; executing safety, quality, operation, centerline and change-over tasks on packaging equipment (Retail Label Application, Delkor Case Packaging, and other packaging groups); performing HACCP and GMP procedures, reading OPLs, SOPs, work instructions and labels; ensuring compliance with HACCP, USDA/FDA standards and food-safety practices; basic reading of thermometer, color differentiation, and math; ability to communicate in English (and Spanish preferred); teamwork and inter-departmental collaboration; adherence to safety and company conduct; appropriate sanitation of equipment and packaging area.
