Job Summary
Precisely weigh and transfer hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals into specified containers, verify bulk quantities against process orders, and operate automated dispensing equipment while maintaining safety protocols. Complete required paperwork, document cleaning procedures, and populate electronic orders following Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Set up tools and utensils, verify material numbers against specifications, and ensure ventilation and balance calibration before starting operations. Actively participate in promoting a proactive safety culture, identify hazards, maintain facilities according to 6S standards, and safely operate powered pallet and drum movers. Perform waste disposal in compliance with company and government regulations. Participate in testing and implementation of process and equipment changes to enhance efficiency. This 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) runs on a 2/2/3 schedule for MilliporeSigma.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focus
- Must be able to wear appropriate protective gear (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment (PPE) to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particles
