Job Summary
Packaging Operations Supervisor responsible for supervising daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates; organize and lead the focus on improved productivity by enhancing processes and the efficiency of associate work; apply lean manufacturing principles to identify efficiency gains in current production processes; deliver associate orientation, training, performance reviews, and development; manage turnover among hourly staff; maximize quality and productivity by understanding job standards and evaluating performance variances to identify root causes and corrective actions; plan, supervise, and prioritize daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime; ensure shift/daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting; collaborate with regional sites on safety, labor sharing, and best-practice initiatives; troubleshoot production issues to restore operations quickly; communicate Standard Operating Procedures and key information during pre-shift meetings and shift hand-offs; execute daily contract requirements and manage accessorial activity and necessary documentation; maintain inventory integrity through receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management; collect performance measurements aligned with customer, vendor, and site requirements; onsite role with location hints Bolton, ON, CA and Bolton, Ontario, CA; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 1+ years in packaging/manufacturing-related operations are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- 1+ years’ industry experience in primary packaging, secondary packaging, custom packaging, manufacturing, or related business and/or operations, required
