Job Summary
Packaging Mechanic (Millwright) responsible for diagnosing equipment issues, repairing breakdowns, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in an industrial food manufacturing environment to ensure packaging equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Requires Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification and at least two years of maintenance experience; must read and interpret equipment manuals, SDS, mechanical drawings, and blueprints; with experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems; and a commitment to safety and compliance with company standards. Schedule involves 12-hour shifts with on/off rotation; forklift and aerial lift operation may be required; ability to document repair reports and maintain maintenance records.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification
- Minimum of two years of maintenance experience and certification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, SDS, mechanical drawings, and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Commitment to safe work practices and hazard awareness
