Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automated packaging equipment while setting up machinery to ensure consistent product quality. Identify and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime, perform routine quality checks, and maintain a clean work area in compliance with Food Safety and GMP procedures. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and improve overall equipment effectiveness through on-the-job training and skill development. Requires 3–5 years of machine operating experience in manufacturing, ability to lift 50 pounds, and flexibility for rotating day and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3–5 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience operating machinery that manufactures or creates a product, not simply packaging finished goods
- Experience working in assembly-line or high-speed production environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently
- Ability to quickly learn new equipment and 'hit the ground running'
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills and ability to pass an aptitude assessment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent attendance record
- Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Regularly bend, stoop, kneel, climb, twist, reach, and crawl
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot, cold, humid, noisy, or slippery
- Must comply with all safety, food safety, and personal hygiene requirements
