Job Summary
Packaging Line Operator at McCain Foods operates, sets up, and adjusts packaging lines to ensure efficient production, conducts product changeovers and quality inspections, maintains documentation to meet specifications, calibrates scales for accurate weights, and upholds GMP/sanitation standards. The role involves monitoring product flow, maintaining supplies, preventing contamination, reporting quality or production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement. Physical duties include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and operating forklifts as needed. Shift: D Crew/PM (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule with shift differential; requires strong attention to detail, safety, and data-entry accuracy, with English communication and ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working in manufacturing and/or food manufacturing strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Communicates clearly in English
- Maintain GMP and sanitation standards
